“ *This review is for the guava pastries only* Sweet Clary hands down has some of the best guava pastries around! While visiting family in NJ and NY, we swung in to pick a few up. My grandmother is a regular at this bakery so, of course, she tagged along. The girl behind the counter suggested getting the larger uncut, round pastries instead of the precut one. We ended up doing that and it worked out very well. I was able to cut one large pastry into 6 wedges. The pastry dough is super flaky and airy. This wonderful dough is then filled with delicious guava paste and cream cheese - so yummy! The pastry to filling ratio is on point at Sweet Clary. I highly recommend giving these a try. Pro-tip: Warm them up in a toaster oven, you won't regret it! ”
“ I'm a regular at this spot, I stop in at least 3 times a week to get the same thing, an espresso and toasted bread with butter. There bread is so delicious, people are always ordering at least 10 rolls. They mostly speak Spanish but make efforts to communicate with their English guests. They are popular and get busy like any bakery during rush hour. You just have to be patient. I usually don't spend more the 10 to 15 minutes there. ”

They still carry Cuban bread and pastries, but now also carry other products such as Colombian breads and empanadas, Portuguese baked goods, pupusas and more. Larger than Mara and Cuba Bakery on Elizabeth Ave., there is ample seating as well as a delicious and affordable list of options. Their media noche is only $4.25 and their baked goods are great as well. ”
